Educapital Foundation awards over $12M in "Financial Hardship Grants" and “Business Grants“ each year to qualified applicants who are finanically challenged. The "Financial Hardship Grant" is an 100% donor-funded program, designed to provide cash payments to low-income people in-need.
In order to Qualify you must meet the following criteria:
1. 18 & over.
2. High school graduate or GED recipient.
3. U.S. citizen, permanent resident, DACA recipient, or employment authorization card.
4. Low income.

Award notifications will be sent via email within 30 days. Denial notifications will not be sent out.

“Financial Hardship Grant“ provides financial support to anyone facing economic challenges, offering cash payments based on demonstrated need.
Applicants must meet certain requirements in order to receive payments.
No. There is no cost to apply.
The grants aim is to reduce financial burdens on low-income citizens while providing incentives for progress. Scroll to the ”Apply” button below to apply.
Importantly, the grants are paid directly to applicants. They may use the money for any pressing need (for example, books, child care, or other financial obligations).

Yes. You will be eligible for an additional 3 grants. The maximum award for anyone is 4.

No. This award is a grant, not a loan. You do not need to repay the scholarship amount.
First payment dates are typically weekly but may vary depending on the funding schedule. Please contact Michelle Miller to confirm your payment date.
Basic Financial Hardship Grant Requirements:
In order to receive the "Financial Hardship Grant" recipients must:
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Enroll in the ACA (Obamacare) Free Healthcare Program. If you are not already enrolled, please call (954) 872-0142, and enter your confirmation number in the application.
- Basic questionnaire
- A Short essay
- 3 personal references
Grants are awarded primarily based on financial need, personal references, and a strong desire to achieve goals.
No. We do not require social security numbers in the application.

Grant money can be used to cover basic living expense, including transportation, rent, childcare, etc.
You will receive an email notification within 30 days regarding the decision of the grant application. Unfortunately, denial letters will not be sent.
